Writers of fandom:
What is your favorite fic you’ve ever written?
*please feel free to reblog with your answers and links. The more answers the better.
You know, I’m going to have to say The Last Full Measure of Devotion and its sequel We Take Increased Devotion. I really like the mixture of bleakness and rabid love in them, plus a few of the paragraphs make me happy.
I’m giving a shameless shout-out to my casefile ‘Skin Trade’ because it took me a long time to write and it contains a Case! and Smut! and Angst! and I’m not quite sure why it doesn’t get more love. And also to another early casefile called ‘In Plain Sight’ which also includes a Case! and Angst! and it’s set during the cancer arc so there’s extra Tension!
I know, I know, I know...nobody cares about casefiles but I do love writing them and they take Energy, so I’ll always self-rec my longer fics.
Can I Have This Dance? It’s the longest thing I’ve ever written, and I think it’s probably my best work. Mulder & Scully go to a wedding :)
I’d definitely have to say Hands. I’m usually not super confident in my work, but this is the one fic I’ve written that I actually feel really good about.
Luctus. It’s one of my only longer pieces and fills a huge canon gap for me.
I’ve read (and loved!) every single one of these!
The first one I wrote, only a month ago. Free Merlot at the Cool View Motor Court Rating: Explicit
I don’t have any longer pieces posted, even though I love plotting and doing research for them. There was one that I started but actually felt discouraged to continue writing (even though I thought it was an exceptional piece of mine) The Ghost of Lambertville High
I also like two pieces I wrote for past exchanges: Overheating and How to Communicate with Your FBI Partner
